SUMMER SHOOTERS!

We are so excited to again offer our Summer Shooting Intensive at T3 Sport.

When we sit down at T3 Sport and discuss the most important skills in basketball, SHOOTING is at the top of the list. If you can shoot you can play! With that in mind we have built a dedicated program to help athletes focus on starting the process of becoming a great shooter. Becoming great takes time and there is no better way than our shooting intensive to start and learn about what it takes to become a great shooter.

This will be an 8-week intensive with two levels of training available.

1. Shooting Intensive 1.0

Our Shooting Intensive 1.0 will focus on developing great shooting form, shooting function, and learning how to make game shots at game speed. There is a parallel heart and mind curriculum that teaches athletes to Shoot With Conviction! The Shooting Intensive 1.0 is directed towards those who are either less experienced or still young and developing their shooting form, foundations and footwork. Most of our Middle school athletes and all new athletes are encouraged to consider this program.

2. Shooting Intensive 2.0

Our Shooting Intensive 2.0 for those athletes who have completed the Shooting Intensive in the past or who are advanced enough on their basketball journey to begin to really explore the more functional aspects of becoming a great shooter. These athletes have a strongly established foundation, form and footwork. They are in the process of refining their shot and getting repetitions that move them towards mastery. To be invited into this program an athlete will have to have either completed the Shooting Intensive previously or have permission from the Shooting Intensive staff to follow this path for the summer. This program will mostly involve High School athletes who are already established shooters and have spent considerable time on their shooting.

SHOOTING WITH CONVICTION CURRICULUM--DEVELOPING A COMPLETE SHOOTER:

We will have a curriculum each week that parallels our shooting work.

Our curriculum will be about Shooting with Conviction. There is a difference between Confidence and Conviction, our goal is each athlete leaves the summer as a shooter who shoots with Conviction.

Transform: Transform our minds, hearts and belief

Translate: How our minds, hearts and beliefs are impacted by our words, actions and behaviors

Train: Practice these concepts in basketball scenarios and discuss how this applies to our broader life

We believe becoming a great shooter is more than the mechanics of the body, but is greatly influenced by the mechanics of the mind, heart and belief!

OTHER INFO:

1. We understand athletes will not be able to attend every session and every week, that is okay. The program is built in such a way that athletes are performing considerable repetition so athletes will be equipped to continue their Shooting Intensive during vacations or other time off if they can find a hoop. The most important way to become great isn't by consistent coaching, but by consistent repetition and practice. The coaching is there to guide, correct, facilitate and hold accountable.

2. If you athlete wants to participate but will be missing a considerable portion of the summer schedule please reach out for alternative plans.

3. There will be a portion of the shooting intensive spent on handling the basketball, one of the things we have learned is sometimes athletes have great form, footwork and can make shots, but they are unable to handle the ball well enough to actually make shots in game scenarios.

COST and REGISTRATION:

This program will run 8 weeks with 7 hours of training per week so a total of 56 hours of gym time!
